> I'm a student
How does it benefit me?
There are 3 goals to TUPC
IMPROVE STUDENT'S OVERALL AND MENTAL WELL-BEING
INCREASE SCHOOL ENGAGEMENT
DECREASE YOUTH HOMELESSNESS
How does it work?
1. Students fill out the needs assessment.
2. The needs assessment identifies at-risk youth.
3. At-risk youth is connected to services and supports.
How can I participate?
If you would like to participate, make sure you get your parents to sign the parental consent form that is sent home from your school.
What happens to my information?
The needs assessment form responses will be analyzed by the Upstream Project Canada team.
The needs assessment forms will be destroyed after they are analyzed. The compiled data will be safely stored on password-protected devices for up to two years.
School staff will not have access to specific needs assessment form responses; they will only receive the names of students identified as being at risk and in need of supports.
Your name and any sensituve information will be removed from any compiled data used to help us track the project's process.
If you do not feel comfortable or do not want to participate, you don't have to.
